In order to find an investor, you will need a pitch deck.
There are tons of resources online. But it’s all generic and you'll find that it never really fits your exact business.
And if you've already sent your deck to investors, you know that you very rarely get any feedback.
How do you know what went wrong?
"Was there a problem with my deck? Or was it my business?"
"Am I asking for too much investment?"
"Did they understand what we’re building?"
"Am I giving too much information?"
"Am I giving too little information?"
If you haven’t finished your deck yet ... how do you know if you're going in the right direction?
It’s just so confusing and frustrating.
There are too many uncertainties. It's paralysing and it makes it really difficult to know how to move forward.
This is where I come in!
I will give you a no-nonsense, slide by slide, review of your pitch deck. And I will do this with you, in a live 30 minute private zoom session.
We’ll review your deck together, but you can also ask questions. You can ask for feedback and advice on a particular topic or anything that you feel will help you raise funds.
I definitely will not hold back during this session, but I promise I will be nice :-)
My feedback will be based on thousands of decks and interactions that I’ve had with investors and founders over the last 15 years.
They loved it!
Being a first time tech founder looking for funding options for my business, it was difficult to know where to start. Then I came across StartUp Mag, and with all the resources they have have, immediately felt like I had somewhere to start. I got down to creating my pitch deck and thought it was perfect for what I wanted to achieve. I knew that John-Pierre had an option on the site for a deck review, and as I had never had to do anything like this before thought it would be a good idea to go through this process, and despite my initial concerns over the statement "I will definitely not hold back", I booked the session with the promise of "I will be nice :)" giving me some reassurance. As promised, we went through the deck slide-by-slide, with adequate discussions on each to follow me to understand not only how they should be changed - but why! When you think of all the time you've spent putting this document together, it would be easy to feel a little dis-heartened when it is picked apart, but the way that John managed to convey the thought process behind his comments, and looking at it through an investors eyes, it has an easy pill to swallow. I am so glad that I used the Pitch Deck Review service so early on in this journey, as I could easily have gone for months thinking I was doing it all right, when in fact I was way out! All in all, an invaluable service, amazing feedback and would thoroughly recommend. In fact, I'm going to amend my deck using the advice I received, and book on again (and probably again), until I know I have something ready to send to the investors Thanks again John-Pierre,
Having already got value out of StartupMag's Venture Capital Database, which has been instrumental in kickstarting our fundraising charge, Founder JP reached out and offered to spend some time looking at our deck and has provided us with some great feedback. Looking forward to the next call! Highly recommend.
StartupMag is an amazing platform for entrepreneurs who want to find investors, stay updated on the latest industry news, and learn from the current trends and important stats about raising money. They have a wealth of resources covering every aspect of the fundraising process, as well numerous well thought out guides to help you start and scale your business. The pitch deck review service has been invaluable for our company. They have a high level of expertise and were able to quickly pick out the key elements of our value proposition and help refine the deck to have a concise and compelling narrative. I highly recommend StartupMag to anyone starting a business, or looking for funding to grow. Huge thanks for an outstanding resource!
Would highly recommend. I was out of my depth with creating a pitch deck, extremely useful to have an experienced third party give an unbiased review and recommendations before we went live.
We saved ourselves a great deal of time having crossed paths with John from StartUpMag. He has an awesome way of helping you to see your pitch through the eyes of investors. He really has elevated our understanding of the investment process and helped us prepare our deck to be investor-ready. We are super grateful for his wisdom and looking forward to rolling out our revamped game plan. Many thanks to JP and StartUpMag.
Where to turn for advice, guidance and introductions to investors can be a minefield and very confusing for startups. Startup Mag has been a guiding light for us, as they send daily emails with contact details of potential investors. Highly recommended!
JP was very generous with his time and has confirmed some of our thoughts on how we could improve our proposition. We look forward to further discussions with StartUpMag so we can best make use of their knowledge and experience of the Start Up world.
Very knowledgeable of the start up scene and unafraid to delivery much needed advice and realistic assessments of prospects for any venture.

I always suggest 1 or 2 members of your team. Any more than 2 and the conversation can get confusing.
Of course. This is probably the most common scenario. Some slides will come easily, some will not. We will review what you already have, and make a plan for your final slides.
Sure. We have a template structure that we can work on together. This is actually a good way to structure your thoughts and save a lot of time.
