Creature Comforts, a London, UK-based operator of tech-enabled veterinary clinics, recently announced that it has raised £7M in seed funding. The funding round was led by Torch Capital, Hanaco VC, and Boost Capital Partners, with participation from Active Partners, Tarek Abuzayyad of Initial Capital, and Steve Rosengarten of Vet One. Founded in 2023 by Dan Attia and Russell Welsh, Creature Comforts aims to provide a seamless veterinary experience by combining bespoke technology with physical clinics.
With the newly raised funds, Creature Comforts plans to design, open, and staff its first two clinics in London.
These clinics, set to open in 2024, will feature state-of-the-art facilities with pet-friendly design features. The company will also introduce a subscription model and leverage innovative technology to enhance the veterinary experience. This includes developing a proprietary app created by their in-house tech team. The app will support 24/7 virtual care and customer queries, allowing veterinarians to work flexibly and remotely. Moreover, pet owners will have quick and unlimited access to veterinary expertise outside of regular opening hours.
The first clinic, located in St John's Wood, is set to open in early 2024. This will be followed by the opening of another clinic in a prime London location. The comprehensive funding will not only assist in establishing physical locations but also in building an advanced tech infrastructure to better serve pet owners. Creature Comforts is dedicated to revolutionizing the veterinary industry by providing accessible and high-quality pet care, all backed by cutting-edge technology and a team of passionate experts.
