Dawn Capital, a London-based B2B software investor, has recently raised an impressive $700M for two funds. The main fund, Dawn V, gathered $620M and is specifically designed to support early-stage European software innovators in their Series A and B stages. With initial investments ranging from $10M to $40M, this fund aims to provide capital for follow-on rounds as well. In addition, Dawn Opportunities III, a follow-on fund of $80M, was raised to enhance Dawn's ability to invest in promising companies from Series C stage onwards. These funds will enable the firm to continue its support for European B2B software companies, guiding them from their early stages all the way to exit.
This successful fundraising has allowed Dawn Capital to make three exciting investments from its Dawn V fund.
These include Fonoa, a tax compliance platform, Cover Genius, an embedded insurance platform, and FlowX.AI, an application modernisation platform. The firm, led by General Partners Josh Bell, Norman Fiore, Haakon Overli, and Evgenia Plotnikova, is a specialist B2B software investor with a team of 35 investors, entrepreneurs, strategists, and specialists. With total commitments of $2.0bn, Dawn Capital actively partners with founders to build global software leaders. They provide support in developing teams, technology, and scalable business models, ultimately creating category-defining global companies.
Moreover, Dawn Capital is well-known for its early-stage investments, actively backing companies from Series A and B and continuing to support them through growth rounds to the exit stage. The firm's impressive investment portfolio includes established companies such as Mimecast, iZettle, and Tink, as well as current market-leaders like Collibra, Dataiku, Quantexa, and Minute Media. As part of their expansion plans following the fundraise, Dawn Capital has promoted Hannah Gubbins, the Head of Investor Relations and Marketing, to Partner.
