London AI Startup Greyparrot Raises $12.8M for Waste Analytics
Greyparrot, a London-based AI waste analytics startup, recently secured $12.8m in funding from Bollegraaf. With this investment, the company aims to promote collaboration throughout the waste value chain, bringing together producers, waste managers, and regulators to develop more sustainable methods for recovering and reusing waste materials. Led by CEO Mikela Druckman, Greyparrot provides comprehensive AI waste analytics that enable recycling facility managers and producers to optimize recycling processes and reduce waste. Their advanced technology allows for automation in sorting facilities and enhances transparency across the global value chain. In 2023 alone, Greyparrot's Analyzer was able to analyze over 25 billion waste objects, categorizing them into 70+ different categories in real-time, revealing valuable data such as material type, financial value, brand, and GHG emissions.
