Hunch, a social discovery app based in Dubai, UAE, recently secured $23m in Series A funding. The funding round was led by Alpha Wave, Hashed, and other investors who see great potential in the app. The company plans to use the funds to bring the app to the US market and further develop its presence in India.
Founded in December 2022 by a trio of entrepreneurs, CEO Ish Goel, CPO Nitika Goel, and CMO Kartic Rakhra, Hunch offers a platform for users to engage in honest and anonymous discussions.
Users can create polls on a wide range of topics, from pop culture and gaming to finance, dating, relationships, and anime. These polls help users bridge the gap in their curiosity, validate their own opinions, and connect with like-minded individuals.
Since its launch, Hunch has seen tremendous growth, with over 640,000 polls created and more than 25 million opinions shared through user votes nationwide. The company is headquartered in Dubai, with additional offices in India and Singapore. With the recent funding, Hunch is poised to expand its reach and continue providing a space for open and authentic conversations.
