Kavida.ai, a London-based supply chain startup, recently raised £900k in additional funding. The funding round was led by Qima, with participation from Red Bus Ventures as well as several UK angels including Chris Adelsbach, Jack Cresswell, Christopher Carter, Ian Kemsley, Jonathan Davie, Simon Davies, Russell Puttick, Lord John Nash, and more. This funding adds to the previous raise of £300K in pre-seed capital from strategic investors in 2021, bringing the total funding to £1.2M.
The company plans to utilize the funds to enhance its platform with an artificial intelligence tool called ChatGPT and expand its team of AI experts and data scientists.
Kavida.ai, founded in 2020, focuses on helping manufacturers and retailers minimize risks in procurement through its order management systems. Users can detect, track, and manage issues with supplier orders before they impact the business. The company's supply chain ChatGPT enables procurement managers to ask important questions to a Co-Pilot, providing real-time visibility into the status of any order throughout the fulfillment process.
In addition to the funding news, Kavida.ai was recently accepted into Digital Catapult's Supply Chain Hub program. As part of this program, the company will receive up to £100K to develop innovative solutions for supply chain visibility of inventory, with a specific focus on UK automotive manufacturers. This recognition further validates Kavida.ai's commitment to revolutionizing supply chain management through advanced technologies.
