Solus Power, a London, UK-based provider of portable electric vehicle charging solutions, recently announced that it has raised £22 million (US$28 million) in funding. The investment was made by Dubai, UAE-based Petra Equity Partners. The funds will be used to accelerate the development of the company's innovative battery technology.
Established in 2020, Solus Power is led by Chief Executive Officer Stas Leonidou.
The company specializes in the generation, storage, management, and distribution of power for electric vehicles, as well as providing cutting-edge solutions to industries where energy mobilization is crucial. In a strategic move towards expanding its market reach, Solus Power has entered into a collaboration agreement with QinetiQ. This partnership aims to explore the company's charging solution for defense use, as military forces around the world transition towards more sustainable electrified fleets.
