This funding will allow Spotlight Pathology to accelerate product development and commercialization of AI tools designed to aid pathologists in diagnosing blood cancer.
Spotlight Pathology, which was spun out of the University of Manchester by Dr.
Martin Fergie and Prof. Richard Byers, recently received investment from LYVA Labs after relocating to Daresbury. The company has already secured a significant Innovate UK grant and aims to streamline the diagnosis process for blood cancer. Dr. Sam Perona, former CEO of Perfectus Biomed, has joined Spotlight Pathology as CEO and is excited about the investment from LYVA Labs, which will enable the company to grow the team and accelerate their 'Go to Market' plan.
