List of UK Web 3 VCs and Angels.
Find your web 3 investor with the full list of UK venture capital investors.
The UK's Web 3 ecosystem includes a growing mix of innovators and technology platforms — many of which can be found on our Web 3 startup watchlist.
Web 1 was about creating the internet. Web 2 was about editing and sharing. Web 3 is about owning. Owning involves digital assets (NFT’s), crypto currency, blockchain technologies and real focus on decentralised finance (DeFi).
Web 3 is a rapidly evolving sector and there are risks involved but web 3 is already here. We’re seeing more and more web 3 startups not even mentioning blockchain or crypto anymore. Blockchain will be an inherent part of any business. Just like you wouldn’t say that you’re launching a business on the internet but you are launching a business. And obviously it’s on the internet!
And as web 3 becomes more and more integrated into our day to day life, maybe this page will disappear… But for now, these are the most active UK venture capital firms in web 3.

I’ve tried to define Web 3 above but if it’s still not clear let’s dig in more.
Imagine stepping into an online world where you're not just a visitor clicking through pages but an active participant with a stake in what happens there. This world is more open, decentralised, and secure, thanks to the magic of blockchain technology.
Welcome to Web 3.0, or Web 3, the next evolution of the internet, where users regain control over their data, digital transactions are transparent and secure, and the internet operates more like a democracy than a kingdom ruled by tech giants.
Web 3.0 represents a shift from the centralised platforms of Web 2.0 (think social media sites, search engines, and online marketplaces) to a decentralised ecosystem. In this new world, blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and NFTs (non-fungible tokens) play starring roles, enabling not just financial transactions but also the exchange of data and digital assets without the need for intermediaries.
This means you could own your online identity, sell your digital art directly to supporters, or even vote on how an online community is run, all secured by blockchain technology.
Argent is a shining example of a successful web 3 startup based in the UK. Launched in 2017, Argent has developed a secure, user-friendly crypto wallet that simplifies access to the decentralised web.
Unlike traditional crypto wallets, Argent is designed with simplicity and security at its core, making it accessible even to those new to the world of cryptocurrencies and blockchain.
Web 3 funding involves angel investors, often blockchain or crypto pioneers investing personal funds. Web 3 venture capitalists (VCs) manage institutional funds, focusing on ventures that show strong growth within decentralised technologies.
