Arkis, a London, UK-based DeFi prime broker, recently secured $2.25M in Pre-Seed funding in a round led by gumi Cryptos Capital. Other investors included G1 Ventures, Blocklabs, and Roosh Ventures. The company plans to utilize the funds to expand its operations and further develop its offerings in the decentralized finance space.
Founded in 2022 by Serhii Tyshchenko from Ukraine and Oleksandr Proskurin, Arkis specializes in providing DeFi Prime Broker services with a focus on on-chain risk management.
Their platform allows capital providers to offer undercollateralized loans to DeFi hedge funds in a safe manner. Users can leverage their on-chain trading positions across different protocols and blockchains through a single on-chain margin account supported by a margin engine.
In addition to offering innovative features such as cross-margining and a liquidation planning and execution process, Arkis aims to enhance liquidity aggregation through a strategic partnership with Edge Capital and integration with 1inch. Following successful transactions with DeFi funds in a private beta phase, the company officially launched its services to the public in February, marking the beginning of its journey towards revolutionizing the DeFi landscape.
