Paysend, a London-based fintech company specializing in international money transfers, has raised $65M in its latest funding round. The funding comes from existing investors Growth Capital, One Peak, and Hermes GPE Innovation Fund, as well as a strategic investment from Mastercard. With this infusion of capital, the company plans to accelerate the expansion of its global payments platform.
Under the leadership of CEO Ronnie Millar, Paysend has become an integrated global payment ecosystem.
It empowers consumers and businesses to pay and send money online, regardless of location or currency. Currently, Paysend boasts over 8 million registered customers and has the capability to transfer funds to more than 180 countries worldwide. The company has also established its own network of banks and payment systems on a global scale.
In an effort to establish a strong presence in the USA-Latin America money-transfer corridors, Paysend has entered into a strategic partnership with TelevisaUnivision. This collaboration will involve Paysend's advertising being featured on TelevisaUnivision's network for the next three years. It is anticipated that this marketing initiative will significantly enhance Paysend's visibility and reach, especially within the Hispanic community in the United States.
