At Startupmag, John-Pierre oversees editorial direction, publishing daily coverage of funding rounds, investors, and UK startup ecosystem insights. Founders and PR agencies can also submit startup press releases here for editorial consideration.
John-Pierre launched his first business in 2004, a UK foreign exchange platform later acquired by a leading currency broker. He went on to create ArgentMag, a French financial comparison site sold in 2013, and HelloPret.fr, exited in 2018. Along the way John-Pierre raised pre-seed capital and has backed a number of startups as an angel investor himself.
For more than 15 years John-Pierre has been building MVPs, testing markets, and helping early-stage companies prove their potential. He has first-hand experience raising capital and working with both angel investors and pre-seed VCs.
Since 2004 he has led customer acquisition campaigns across the UK, France and Spain, using Google and Meta Ads to drive growth for businesses in sectors from fintech to transport.
John-Pierre built Startupmag as a data-driven platform that combines daily funding news with investor databases and ecosystem mapping, giving founders and investors a clearer view of the UK startup landscape.
