Obsero, an AI startup based in London, has raised £908k in a seed funding round led by SFC Capital to help brands track and improve their visibility in AI-driven answers and recommendations. The funding will be used to build specialist AI agents, more than double the engineering team, and accelerate go-to-market activities—efforts that matter as AI assistants become a primary discovery channel for consumers.
AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google’s AI Overviews are increasingly the first place users look for answers and recommendations. That shift changes how brands are discovered: search behaviour, source weighting and credibility signals differ from traditional Google search. Obsero aims to give brands data and operational tools to understand whether they appear in AI answers and how to influence those outcomes. The problem is timely because many marketing teams currently lack visibility into AI-driven discovery.
Obsero combines a monitoring platform with consultancy expertise. Over its first year the company says it has tracked and analysed more than 10 million AI answers to build an evidence base for what drives visibility in AI responses. The product claims to surface which sources AI engines trust, the sentiment and phrasing used about a brand, and actionable opportunities for marketing teams.
Planned product work funded by the round includes "specialist AI agents" trained on a GEO playbook derived from client work. The agents are intended to identify opportunities and recommend actions at scale, rather than leaving interpretation to customers. Obsero also intends to expand engineering resources to deliver those agents and the underlying analytics.
The round was led by SFC Capital and closed at £908k. Obsero also says several of its customers elected to invest in the round; the company named clients that include Zopa, Pepperstone and Zoopla but did not specify which of those participated as investors. Agency partners mentioned are IDHL and Silverbean.
SFC Capital’s participation signals continued interest from institutional backers in startups that address new infrastructure needs created by AI-driven discovery. Obsero frames the investment as support for product development (AI agents), team growth and commercial expansion.

In the announcement, Mike Logue, Co-founder & CEO at Obsero, said:
AI is changing how people discover brands faster than any shift I’ve seen in marketing, and most teams are still flying blind. We’ve spent a year learning what actually moves the needle. Now it’s time to put that into the hands of every marketing team that needs it.
In the announcement, Andy Francos, Co-founder & CPO at Obsero, said:
I’ve spent my career in organic search, and I’ve never seen the ground move this quickly. Much of what worked in SEO still matters, but AI engines weigh sources, context and credibility in new ways. Brands that assume their old playbook will carry over are already losing ground. Over the past year we’ve built a clear, evidence-based view of what drives visibility in AI Search. Now we’re putting that expertise into agents, so every team can apply it, not just the ones that can afford a specialist.
The founders position their combined backgrounds—Logue in performance marketing and analytics, Francos in organic search where he says he generated £252m in organic revenue for Cazoo—as a foundation for translating AI monitoring into commercial outcomes.
Obsero’s raise is part of a wider wave of startups building tooling for the AI era: monitoring, model auditing, conversational analytics and branded-response optimisation. For marketing teams, the emergence of AI assistants introduces both risk—being omitted or misrepresented in answers—and opportunity—capturing recommendation moments that did not exist in legacy search.
The involvement of clients and an institutional lead investor follows a familiar pattern in the UK ecosystem where early commercial validation and customer-led checks can de-risk investment in specialised B2B AI products. As regulatory and platform dynamics around AI evolve, demand for tools that map how models surface information is likely to grow across the UK and Europe.
