The company has also attracted the attention of several high-profile angel investors, including Tom Blomfield, the renowned Founder of Monzo, Ian Hogarth, who established Songkick, and Eamon Jubbawy, the mastermind behind Onfido.
At the helm of Cordless are two highly accomplished female founders, Luba Chudnovets and Irina Bednova.
Their journey began when they crossed paths while working to scale Monzo bank. With Luba serving as the Head of Scaling Operations and Irina acting as the Technical Lead, they tackled the significant challenge of scaling customer support during Monzo's rapid growth phase. A crucial takeaway from their experience was the realization that developing products that resonate with customers requires a profound understanding of their feelings and the underlying reasons for their support inquiries. Luba Chudnovets, the co-founder and CEO at Cordless, noted that customer calls represent the richest source of feedback, presenting an opportunity to foster meaningful relationships. However, she emphasized the difficulties of analyzing voice as a medium, highlighting that most customer support managers listen to no more than 10 calls per week, leading to a loss of critical information that could enhance service and product quality.
Cordless is positioned as an advanced telephony platform that integrates AI-driven conversation intelligence specifically designed for customer support teams. While the industry has seen a rise in chatbot usage for text-based support, the voice channel has lagged significantly. Cordless aims to bridge this gap by introducing the transformative capabilities of GPT-3 into voice interactions. According to Irina Bednova, co-founder and CTO at Cordless, she envisions a future where every company relying on voice support will utilize AI to comprehensively analyze their conversations. The platform allows managers to pinpoint areas for agent development and to detect emerging trends in customer inquiries, such as identifying that "40% more customers are reaching out about a login issue" or suggesting enhancements in an agent's tone of voice.
