Patch, a London, UK-based company that provides neighbourhood space for work, community, and events, has recently raised £3M in funding. The funding round was led by JamJar Investments, Blue Wire Capital, Vectr7 Investment Partners LLP, Active Partners, and Triple Point Ventures, with participation from notable individuals such as Matt Clifford, Peter Roberts, Emma Woods, Jeremy Sanders, Wendy Becker, Simon Murdoch, Zoe Jervier, and Caroline Plumb.
Founded in 2020 by Freddie Fforde, Patch is on a mission to create workspaces that offer shared office spaces in conjunction with spaces for community and cultural activities, local businesses, and events.
The company has also established Patch Academy, which organizes various activities like educational talks, roundtable discussions, networking events, workshops, and away days. In addition, Patch Market is another initiative by the company, hosting more informal and interactive events such as talks, screenings, and pop-up markets.
With the recent funding, Patch plans to grow its team and expand its network of spaces. Already operating a location in Chelmsford, Essex, the company is gearing up to launch two new sites in Summer 2023, in Twickenham, Greater London, and High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. Further launches are in the pipeline for 2023 and beyond, with a goal of opening up to 100 sites over the years ahead.
