This article covers OneClickComply, a cybersecurity startup, which has raised £1m in a seed funding round to further develop its automated compliance platform and expand sales and support. The funding is intended to speed product development and scale customer-facing operations to help organisations, including small and medium-sized businesses and startups, meet cyber and data protection certification requirements.
OneClickComply, a cybersecurity startup, has raised £1m in a seed funding round to further develop its automated compliance platform and expand sales and support. The capital — part of a wider total of more than £2.4m raised to date — will be used to enhance the product, grow the team by four roles and scale customer-facing operations.
Procurement and contracting increasingly require businesses to prove their cyber and data protections before deals close. That demand has created a market for tools that cut the time and cost of certification and ongoing compliance. OneClickComply's claim that it can automate up to 90% of the work involved in standards such as Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001 and SOC 2 addresses a persistent pain point for many small and medium-sized organisations that lack in-house security specialists.
The startup says monthly recurring revenue has doubled in the past six months and it serves a range of customers from a leading fast food brand to solo traders, suggesting the product is being used by both enterprise buyers and smaller firms that still face compliance checks.
OneClickComply combines continuous monitoring, automated penetration testing and vulnerability management with policy generation and evidence collection for auditors. The platform also offers one-click configuration of security settings across systems such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and AWS — replacing manual, labour-intensive processes.
After a certification is achieved, the service continues to monitor environments and attempts automatic remediation of issues, rather than only reporting them. The company positions that ongoing remediation as the differentiator for organisations that struggle to maintain certification after audit checks.
The business launched in 2024 after founder Connor Greig spotted recurring compliance friction while working with companies in the Octopus Group. OneClickComply now employs 12 people and intends to use the new funding to accelerate product development and customer success functions.
The seed round includes investment from the North East Accelerate Fund, managed by Mercia Ventures, alongside the Venture Sunderland Fund and Northstar EIS Growth Fund, both managed by Northstar Ventures. The new £1m brings total capital raised by OneClickComply to over £2.4m.
Investors framed the deal around growing regulatory complexity and market demand for automation. In the announcement, Owen Conquest, Investor at Mercia Ventures, said:
OneClickComply offers a unique value proposition through its ability to automatically detect and remediate data compliance issues without the need for specialist intervention. This investment will support the company’s continued growth, enabling it to capitalise on the increasing demand for automated compliance solutions driven by strong regulatory and market tailwinds.
In the announcement, Tom O’Neill, Investment Manager at Northstar Ventures, said:
We’re very pleased to support OneClickComply with further investment from our Venture Sunderland Fund and EIS Growth Fund. The business has grown significantly since our initial investment and it is tapping into an increasingly complex compliance and cyber security market where the risks of a breach or non-compliance are continuously rising. Congratulations to Connor and the team.
In the announcement, Jason Hobbs, Chief Executive of North East Fund, said:
It's great to see OneClickComply, a Sunderland-based business, secure investment to support its continued growth. We're proud to support businesses across Sunderland and the wider North East, and help companies like OneClickComply grow and create new opportunities in the region.

In the announcement, Connor Greig, Co-founder & CEO at OneClickComply, said:
Every business now gets asked to prove its systems are secure, usually by a customer who’s about to sign. The answer shouldn’t be three months and a consultant. We automate 90% of the work, fix the issues we find instead of just reporting them, and keep everything in place afterwards, which is the part everyone forgets about. That’s why we’ve doubled revenue in six months - because this problem isn't going anywhere.
Automated compliance tools sit at the intersection of rising regulatory expectations, tighter procurement standards and the operational limits of many small businesses. For UK cybersecurity startups, proof of capability — demonstrable through certifications and continuous monitoring — can be a differentiator when competing for contracts with larger customers or when serving regulated industries.
OneClickComply’s growth and regional backing also underline active investor interest in the North East and the continued role of regional funds in de-risking early-stage cybersecurity ventures. As vendors and buyers across Europe face growing compliance requirements, solutions that reduce human overhead and shorten procurement cycles are likely to attract further attention from customers and investors.
