Reboxed, a London-based sustainable tech startup, recently announced that it has secured £1.6 million in Seed funding. The funding round was led by ACF Investors, with participation from notable investors such as Ali-A, a popular YouTuber with over 20 million subscribers, and Martin McCourt, the former CEO of Dyson. Other investors included Nick Beighton, the former CEO of ASOS, and the Ministry Of Sound group. These investors have shown their confidence in Reboxed's innovative B2B2C and B2B recommerce platform.
The company, founded in 2020 by Phil Kemish and Matt Thorne, aims to revolutionize the refurbished technology market.
Reboxed offers a wide range of premium refurbished and pre-owned devices, including phones, laptops, tablets, and smartwatches. What sets Reboxed apart is its commitment to providing a "like new" experience that prioritizes quality, sustainability, and circularity. Through its branded solutions, Reboxed partners with various organizations to distribute refurbished devices to their customers or employees, allowing these partners to launch their own branded sustainable technology categories instantly.
Reboxed has already made significant strides in the telecom sector. It has collaborated with Three Mobile to introduce a refurbished technology offering to customers of SMARTY, Three Mobile's sim-only brand. This partnership has enabled Three Mobile to expand its product range without incurring substantial infrastructure costs. With the new funding, Reboxed plans to enhance its retail partner programs and further develop its Reboxed for business service. The company is determined to drive growth and establish itself as a leader in the sustainable technology industry.
